Schedule Change for Convention Week Also Announced

It will be a patriotic party during the month of July at the Stuart Street Playhouse, when "Menopause The Musical" presents an All American Sale! Producers have announced that tickets for the off-Broadway hit will be priced at $32.50 for all performances in July, in honor of Independence Day. Along with special ticket prices, patrons will also receive a festive, celebratory, red, white and blue drink!

"Menopause" will also adjust its show schedule the last week in July. During the Democratic National Convention, there will be no performances Tuesday, July 27, through Thursday, July 29. However, there will be an added end-of-convention performance on Sunday, August 1, at 5:00 PM. All tickets for this special added performance are priced at $32.50.

Boston's newest hit, "Menopause" is a musical parody that chronicles the meeting of four women -- currently played by Kathy St. George, Mary Callanan, Kimberly Harris and Adrienne Cote -- in the roles of an aging soap star, a lost-in-the-60's hippie, a power executive and an Iowa housewife visiting the city with her conventioneering husband -- with nothing in common.

However, they soon realize how much they actually do share -- memory loss, hot flashes, night sweats, chocolate binges, wrinkles, plastic surgery, hormones, not enough sex, too much sex, and much more. A parody of 26 re-lyricized 60s and 70s tunes, the production culminates with a high-spirited salute to every woman who has turned 50.

The celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or who have survived "the change" is currently playing an open-ended run at the Stuart Street Playhouse.
