"Jersey Boys"
Returns To Boston For Five Weeks Only
January 30 - March 3

The Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning mega-hit "Jersey Boys" is working its way back to Boston, this time to the newly reopened Citi Performing Arts Center Emerson Colonial Theatre, for a limited five week engagement January 30-March 3, 2013 as part of the Lexus Broadway In Boston Series.

Detailing the careers of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons -- Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi -- this is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty.

Directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, "Jersey Boys" is written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

"Jersey Boys" originally opened at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway to critical acclaim on November 6, 2005. The First National Tour opened to rave reviews in San Francisco the following year, played a record-breaking run in Los Angeles and is still breaking house records in cities across North America. There are six current productions of "Jersey Boys" worldwide: New York, London, Las Vegas, New Zealand plus two US National tours.

"Jersey Boys" made its sold-out premiere in Boston at the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre in 2009 and was seen by 117,000 theatergoers. The production made a triumphant in the Winter of 2010 to play The Colonial Theatre where 84,000 people once again experienced the international phenomenon.

With a score that includes such classic hits as "Sherry," "Rag Doll," ""Can't Take My Eyes Off You," "Walk Like A Man," and "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Jersey Boys" has been seen by more than 15 million people worldwide.
