North
Shore Music Theatre
Tickled Pink With "Legally Blonde"
November 1 - 13
North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly will
present "Legally Blonde: The Musical" for a
limited two-week engagement, November 1 – 13.
 Based
on the hit movie of the same name, "Legally Blonde" tells of
Elle Woods, the college sweetheart and homecoming queen who won't take
no for an answer. When her boyfriend Warner dumps her for someone more
"serious," Elle puts down the credit cards, hits the books and
heads for Harvard Law School. Along the way, she proves
that being true to yourself never goes out of style. This high-energy
pop musical's fun and catchy score features music and lyrics by Laurence
O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin with a book
by Heather Hach.
"Legally Blonde: The Musical" will star Kelly Felthous
as Elle Woods. Kelly was last seen at NSMT starring in "Singin’
in the Rain" in 2006. Kelly just returned from China where
she performed at the Macau International Music Festival in
"Fame." She also recently originated the role
of Eva in the world premiere of "Bring It On."
Her national tour and off-Broadway credits include "Grease,"
and "Seussical."
The cast also features Gaelen Gilliland , Barrett
Hall, Paul Jackel, Will Ray, Kate Loprest, Taryn Darr, Tiffany Engen,
Allysa Shorte, Sara Andreas and Trish LaRose.
The ensemble includes Meredith Akins, Ian Campayno, Andrea Collier,
Lani Corson, Vanessa Dunleavy, Brooke Engen, Timothy Hughes, Chris Matesevac,
Joe Moeller, Kevin Pariseau and Frankie Paparone.
"Legally Blonde: The Musical" will be directed and choreographed
by Nick Kenkel, whose recent credits include associate
directing and co-choreographing "Peepshow"
in Las Vegas, as well as assistant choreographing Broadway’s "Legally
Blonde" and "Catch Me If You Can."
Kenkel has been seen performing on Broadway in "Catch
Me If You Can," "Legally Blonde" and "The
Wedding Singer," in Las Vegas in "Peepshow," and
