Workin' Its Way Back To Beantown "Jersey Boys" Returns
To Boston Tickets for the return engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical "Jersey Boys" are now on sale for the show's December 16 - January 30 engagement at Boston's Colonial Theatre. The show's original engagement in Boston was at The Shubert Theatre in July of 2009. Based on the careers of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi, "Jersey Boys" is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sound and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty. The show includes such top-selling hits as "Rag
Doll," "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Walk
Like A Man," "Working My Way Back To You" and
"My Eyes Adored You." "Jersey Boys" opened at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway to critical acclaim on November 6, 2005. A national tour opened to rave reviews in San Francisco on December 1, 2006, played a record-breaking run in Los Angeles and is still breaking house records in cities across North America. There are currently six productions of "Jersey Boys:" New York, London, Las Vegas, Toronto, Melbourne, Australia and a US National tour. The show's Original Broadway Cast Recording, produced by Bob Gaudio, was recently certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. "Jersey Boys" is part of the Lexus Boston Area Dealers Broadway Across America – Boston Series.
