Boston Actors Theater Presents
"Where Moments Hung Before"

Boston Actors Theater presents the world premiere of Joey C. Pelletier’s "Where Moments Hung Before," from August 6-16 at the Boston Playwrights’ Theater, located at 949 Commonwealth Avenue.  Pelletier has been featured in more than a dozen plays in the Boston area over the past six years. The production will be directed by Danielle Leeber, the company's Artistic Director.

Jasper Kelly, a gay man in his late twenties, has died. Morgan has decided to throw her brother's memorial service on the same night as her daughter Lucy's birthday party. Mom's hoping to fill everyone with a sense of happiness. But Lucy thinks this is a crummy idea since everyone at the party is torn between their memories of Jasper and a future without him. As the night progresses, Jasper's friends and family grapple with the ever-changing landscape of AIDS, their own personal and sexual identities, and their understanding of a friend gone.

Danielle Leeber created the company in 2004 with the mission to produce and promote actors, writers, and directors in the Boston area. She received critical acclaim for her direction of the comedy "Criminal Hearts" and Mary Zimmerman's "Metamorphoses" as well as being praised for her choice of plays in the annual Summer Play Festivals.

The cast for "Where Moments Hung Before" will include Dave Lucas ("Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll"), Jenny Reagan ("Criminal Hearts"), and Julia Specht ("Metamorphoses") along with Barbara Woodall ("Metamorphoses"), BAT’s kid in residence, as the birthday girl Lucy.
