FeverFest
09: FRICTION After three years under the wings of Whistler in the Dark Theatre, FeverFest Festival has been adopted by the newly formed Small Theatre Alliance of Boston. The festival has come to symbolize both an exploration of diverse theatre styles, and a coming together of disparate artists and companies to produce an evening of exciting work.
Plays and presentations are set to include: "Last
Night A DJ Saved My Life" Meg Taintor, Artistic Director at Whistler in the Dark Theatre, commented, "FeverFest has always provided a stage for a wide variety of artists and companies to come together. This collaboration led directly to the emergence of an alliance of the artists working on Boston's smaller stages. With FeverFest now in the hands of the Small Theatre Alliance of Boston, it has truly found its place in our community." The Small Theatre Alliance of Boston is a collaborative
venture of local theatre artists and companies which currently includes:
Bad Habit Productions, Counter Productions Theatre Company, The
Factory Theatre, Imaginary Beasts, Mill 6 Collaborative, New Exhibition
Room, Orfeo Group, Theatre on Fire, Whistler in the Dark, and
theatre artist John J. King. -- OnStage Boston 07/18/09
