"Ennio!," The Living Cartoon,
Opens May 13 At The Huntington

Internationally-acclaimed quick-change artist Ennio Marchetto brings “Ennio!,” his one-man show of celebrity and pop culture impersonations, to the Huntington Presents series at the Calderwood Pavilion. Performances are May 13 - June 1.

Ennio uses paper costumes and origami techniques to impersonate more than 50 celebrities and pop culture icons—from Celine Dion and Louis Armstrong to the Madonna, Queen Elizabeth (at left) and the Mona Lisa. Marchetto's creative partner is costume and fashion designer Sosthen Hennekam.

An Italian-born comedian inspired by commedia dell’arte, pop culture and Disney cartoons, Ennio will be returning to Boston for the first time in 14 years. Dubbed the “one-man living cartoon,”

Marchetto has toured to more than 70 countries, performing for royalty in the Netherlands, appearing on Japanese television and performing alongside such acclaimed artists as Elton John and Tina Turner.

Nominated for London’s prestigious Laurence Oliver Award as well as a Drama Desk Award, the show won the Garland Award, which honors excellence in California theatre, for its acclaimed Los Angeles run in 1999.

For tickets and information, stop by the Calderwood Pavilion box office at 527 Tremont Street, call 617-266-0800 or visit www.huntingtontheatre.org.
