"Irving Berlin's White Christmas"
Returns To Citi Wang November 23

'Tis almost the season for "Irving Berlin’s White Christmas" to return to the stage of the Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre.  Performance dates are November 23 - December 23.

Based on the 1954 movie musical, the holiday production will star three members of the original San Francisco cast: Brian d'Arcy James and Jeffry Denman (at left) as soldiers turned song-and-dance duo, Bob Wallace and Phil Davis; and Meredith Patterson as Judy Haynes. The trio will be joined by Kerry O'Malley in the role of Betty Haynes, who previously played in the Boston production.

In its Boston debut in 2005, "Irving Berlin’s White Christmas" played to capacity houses as audiences welcomed a new holiday tradition. Since making its stage debut in the 2004 holiday season in San Francisco, "Irving Berlin’s White Christmas" has also had engagements in Los Angeles, St. Paul, Detroit and will debut in Toronto this season.

The musical tells the story of two show business buddies putting on a show in a picturesque Vermont inn, and finding their perfect mates in the process. The show is filled with Irving Berlin classics including "Count Your Blessings,” "Sisters," "How Deep is the Ocean" and the holiday title song, "White Christmas."

Co-produced by the Citi Performing Arts Center and the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul, Minnesota, "Irving Berlin’s White Christmas"  is again directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie.

The stage production is based on the Paramount Pictures film, written for the screen by Norman Krasna, Norman Panama and Melvin Frank and starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen.
