Longwood Players
On "Cloud Nine"

The Longwood Players will present Caryl Churchill's "Cloud Nine" from November 10 - 18 at the Cambridge Family YMCA Theatre, located at 820 Massachusetts Avenue in Central Square, Cambridge.

Churchill's provocative play challenges both actor and theater-goer in its unique examination of time and space, gender and race. With the first act set in Victorian Africa and the second act set in present-day London 25 years later, "Cloud Nine" juxtaposes radically different historical periods while using the same characters surrealistically in each. The show reveals patterns repeating across generations as identities are warped to conform to societal norms.

Written in London in 1979, "Cloud Nine" has enjoyed repeated success in professional and local theaters in both the United Kingdom and America.

For tickets and information, call 1-800-595-4TIX (1-800-595-4849) or visit www.longwoodplayers.org.

Tickets may also be purchased the day of the show one hour prior to show time at the box office.

Note that "Cloud Nine" contains adult language and themes and may not be suitable for all audiences.
