Anthony Rapp
Reads From His New Book
At The Wang

Best known for originating the role of Mark Cohen in Jonathan Larson's Tony Award-winning rock opera, "Rent," Anthony Rapp will appear at The Wang Theatre on Tuesday, March 28, at 5:30 p.m. to read selections from his new book, Without You -- A Memoir of Love, Loss and the Musical RENT. A behind the scenes account of his experience in the play, the moving memoir is also an account of his life off stage, including loss of family and friends.

After the reading, area college students will join Rapp for a special performance of "Seasons of Love," the hit song from "Rent." Following the performance, Rapp will sign copies of his book.

Rapp has appeared on stage, television and in numerous films, including the recently released movie version of "Rent," in which he stars with most of the original Broadway company. Other film credits include "Adventures in Babysitting," "School Ties," "Dazed and Confused" "Six Degrees of Separation" and the Oscar-winning "A Beautiful Mind." In 2000, he released his debut album, "Look Around."

The reading is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.wangcenter.org.
