"Riverdance" Steps Into Shubert
Next Summer

Tickets On Sale Now

Few shows have touched audiences like "Riverdance." Featuring a company of more than 70 performers, this thunderous celebration of joyful music and dance returns to Boston, this time in the more intimate setting of the Citi Shubert Theatre, for 24 performances only, from June 20 - July 8, 2007.

Of all the performances to emerge from Ireland in the past decade, very little can compare to the energy and spectacle of "Riverdance."  Composed by Bill Whelan, produced by Moya Doherty and directed by John McColgan, "Riverdance" has played more than 9,000 performances to more than 19 million people in more than 276 venues in 32 countries across 4 continents.

"Riverdance" had its world premiere at the Point Theatre, Dublin, in February 1995, where it opened to unanimous critical acclaim. An innovative blend of dance, music and song, "Riverdance" draws on Irish traditions; the combined talents of the performers propel Irish dancing and music to the present day, capturing the imagination of audiences across all ages and cultures.

The show has traveled in excess of 500,000 miles (or to the moon and back!), and sold more than 2.5 million copies of the Grammy Award-winning CD (certified Platinum in the US) and 9 million videos, making it one of the best-selling entertainment videos in the world!
