"Inside Out" Publick Theatre
Starts The New Year
With Coward In January

A special "indoor" production at the Boston Center for the Arts by Boston's usually-outdoor Publick Theatre will ring in the New Year with Noel Coward's "Design For Living" from January 4 - 27.

"Design for Living" features Susanne Nitte (Producing Director) as Gilda, Gabriel Kuttner (star of last summer's hit "Copenhagen") as Otto, and Diego Arciniegas (Artistic Director) as Leo. The production will be directed by Spiro Veloudos.

One of Coward's great early successes, this resonant tale of a love triangle between a painter, a playwright, and an interior designer explores the delicate emotional dance of relationships.

Otto, Leo and Gilda are all in love - with each other. Who gets the girl? Who gets the guy? Is three really a crowd? And in the end, can happiness be found?

Set in cosmopolitan Paris, London and New York, "Design for Living" offers the champagne wit of the incomparable Noel Coward at its double-edged best. Widely considered to be scandalous when it first appeared in 1932, "Design for Living" was banned on the London stages until well after the 1933 Broadway production featuring Lynn Fontanne, Alfred Lunt and Noel Coward (who also directed).
