Another Country Productions has announced the line-up for its 2005-2006 season of "SLAMBoston."  The popular series, entitled "diverse voices in theatre," involves more than 35 artists in a monthly two-night celebration of multicultural 10-minute plays.  All performances will take place at the Devanaughn Theatre, 791 Tremont Street in Boston.

The season schedule includes the following dates:

• September 27 & 28, 2005
• November 8 & 9, 2005
• January 17 & 18, 2006
• February 21 & 22
• March 28 & 29 -- featuring the Another Country Meisner Ensemble
• April 18 & 19 -- The Super Slam finals

Since moving to the Devanaughn Theatre, "SLAMBoston" has played to capacity crowds, receiving accolades for their new plays and diverse casting.  With cash prizes for winning playwrights, 5 audience judges who score the plays Olympics-style, audience members expressing their opinion of the judges scores and a diverse selection of plays, "SLAMBoston" is described as a "unique and wildly exciting theatrical experience."

Artistic Director Lyralen Kaye commented, "'The Slam' provides a fun, exciting and edgy platform for bringing together a broad spectrum of diverse plays and the audience that supports them."
