Camp Broadway Wants YOU!

( . . . To March In The 2005 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade)

Camp Broadway, the award-winning theatre arts education company, is seeking 400 performance-loving kids ages 9-13 to participate in an amazing 5-day program in New York City and perform live in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Boston auditions will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, at The Wang Theatre.

Those selected will perform "Thanks For Today," the opening number at the 79th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. This original number, written by Broadway composer Andrew Lippa ("The Wild Party"), celebrates kids across America waking up on Thanksgiving morning to the fantasy world of the Macy's Parade.

Camp Broadway has created a special one-week program leading up to the parade performance, including a series of Broadway workshops, classes, activities plus rehearsals to prepare for LIVE performance at Herald Square to be televised nationally on NBC.

Audition Requirements:
• Bring a completed application (see below), wear dance shoes, dress in comfortable clothes and be ready to dance! You will be taught a combination by a Broadway choreographer.

Videotape Submissions:
• Children unable to attend the auditions may submit a videotape with a completed application for consideration. All tapes should include a short dance routine and a 1-minute song. Videotapes must arrive at the Camp Broadway offices by September 1, 2005 (no exceptions will be made). Tapes should be sent to: Camp Broadway, 145 West 45th Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10036.
