The Huntington Celebrates
Calderwood's First Season

Special Ticket Offer June 21 - 26

The Huntington Theatre Company is celebrating the end of a successful first year with its new Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts with a two-for-one ticket deal for Boston residents and tourists.

The Huntington has presented four productions in the intimate setting of the Pavilion's Virginia Wimberly Theatre since it opened in October, 2004.  They include "Sonia Flew" by local playwright Melinda Lopez, "Trumbo" starring Brian Dennehy, "Culture Clash in AmeriCCa" featuring the L.A.-based Latino comedy troupe, and Christopher Durang's "Laughing Wild" starring Durang and Debra Monk.

In addition, the Wimberly Theatre and the adjoining Edward and Nancy Roberts Studio Theatre have hosted performances by SpeakEasy Stage Company, Súgán Theatre Company, the African American Theatre Festival, the Boston Theatre Marathon and many more.

The new theaters have become a hub of regional theater activity, and have attracted younger and more diverse audience members.

As a thank-you to the many thousands of patrons who came to the Calderwood, and an invitation to those who have not yet experienced the theater, the Huntington is offering a "buy one ticket, get one free" promotion for the final-week performances of "Laughing Wild," June 21-26.  (The offer is also being extended to tickets for the Huntington's production of "Falsettos."

Tickets can be purchased online at www.huntingtontheatre.org (using code 436), www.bostontheatrescene.com (code 436), by phone at 617-266-0800 or in person at the Boston University Theatre box office, 264 Huntington Avenue and the Calderwood Pavilion box office, 527 Tremont Street in the South End).  Show times are available at www.huntingtontheatre.org.
