"Cirque Dreams" At The Shubert

“Cirque Dreams,” a circus fantasy of strength, spectacle and wonder, will come to The Shubert Theatre for eight performances only, March 15 - 20. In the spirit of the successful “Cirque Ingenieux,” this new production is conceived and directed by Neil Goldberg.

Billed as an exhilarating, international evening of inventive acrobatics, costuming and choreography, “Cirque Dreams” will showcase: an aerial ballet over the audience; an interactive musical symphony; four-legged stilt creatures appearing throughout the theater; a Russian aerialist who flies on a skin of chiffon; a trio of muscle men who balance on each other’s heads, hands and bodies; three Mongolian contortionists who literally tie themselves in knots; and a Russian acrobat who balances on a platform placed on five rolling cylinders stacked on stop of one another -- each rolling in a different direction.

The Washington Post praised “Cirque Dreams” as “a soaring flight of fancy.”
