North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly will be auditioning boys and girls on Saturday, October 9, for its 16th annual production of "A Christmas Carol." Auditions will be conducted at the theater's Arts & Education Building, 62 Dunham Road in Beverly, between Noon and 4 P.M.

Speaking and non-speaking roles are available. Children between the ages of 4 and 15 are welcome. No children taller than 5’-4” will be considered.

The rehearsal schedule will run from November 16 – November 30, 2004 with rehearsals for children scheduled weekdays after school and on weekends. The performance schedule for "A Christmas Carol" is December 1 – 24 with shows Tuesday through Sunday. As well, there will be 10:00 A.M. matinees Tuesday through Friday. A detailed schedule will be available at the audition.

Those auditioning should be prepared to demonstrate Movement and Singing – both of which will be taught at the audition. Comfortable shoes are suggested. Children may also be asked to read script lines. North Shore Music Theatre actively participates in diversity casting; children of all ethnic backgrounds and physical categories are encouraged to audition.
