"Beyond Belief"
Opens September 30
at Springfield's CityStage

Boston theater fans heading west will be interested in knowing that a revised version of "Beyond Belief," the Jack Neary comedy that was presented in 2003 at Lyric Stage, is set for a run at CityStage (formerly Stage West) in Springfield. Performance dates are September 30 - October 10.

When produced at Lyric, "Beyond Belief" featured a number of sketches focusing primarily on three ladies “of a certain age” whose station in life allows them to sit on the front porch and discuss anything and everything. Nothing was off-limits---including the extracurricular proclivities of a sitting U.S. President and the scandal in the Catholic Church.

Those topics are still on the agenda, while the script has evolved into a seamless play, introducing the husbands of the ladies, and a mysterious Young Man who brings the characters together as he relates the stunning tale of one lady who has experienced something of such magnitude that her story just has to be told.

The CityStage production, co-presented by CityStage, New Century Theater and Ann Baker, features a host of Boston's best and brightest, including Ellen Colton, Cheryl McMahon, Marina Re, Richard Snee, John Davin and Andrew Dolan. As at Lyric, Jack Neary will direct.

For tickets and information, call the CityStage Box Office at 413-788-7033 or visit www.citystage.symphonyhall.com.
