Due to overwhelming demand, Cirque du Soleil has announced that 19 additional performances from August 24 to September 5 inclusive will be added to its Boston engagement of “Varekai.”  This latest Cirque du Soleil touring production opens July 25 under the blue-and-yellow Grand Chapiteau at Suffolk Downs.

A limited number of prime seats will be available exclusively to Cirque Club members through July 17.  (Patrons may join the Cirque du Soleil Internet club, free of charge, at cirquedusoleil.com.) 

Tickets will go on sale to the general public at Noon on Sunday, July 18, by either calling 800-678-5440 or visiting cirquedusoleil.com.

Tickets for “Varekai” range from $55.00 to $75.00 for adults and $38.50 to $52.50 for children (2 to 12 years inclusive).  Cirque du Soleil also offers the TAPIS ROUGE VIP Experience ($200 for adults and $140 for children age 2-13) featuring exclusive benefits.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:
Opening show: Sunday, July 25 at 5 p.m.;

1st weekend performance schedule:
Friday, July 30 at 8 p.m.;
Saturday, July 31 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.;
Sunday, August 1 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.;

Regular Schedule of performances as of Tuesday, August 3:
Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m.;
Thursdays through Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.;
Sundays at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. 

No performances on Mondays. 

Note that there will be a 4 p.m. performance on Wednesday, August 18, and no performance on Tuesday, August 17 and 31.
