Indy Productions Presents
“Jesus Christ Superstar”

Indy Productions, Greater Boston's newest theater company, will present Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Jesus Christ Superstar” as its inaugural venture.

Founded in 2003 by Michael Peluso in collaboration with John MacKenzie, Indy Productions has assembled a cast and crew of Boston theater veterans for its first show. “Jesus Christ Superstar” is fittingly scheduled to run for a limited engagement during Easter week, April 8-10.

Indy Productions founder and producer Michael Peluso is also playing the role of Judas. A firefighter for the town of Peabody, Peluso has spent several years raising the capital to launch this production.

Peluso commented, “Performing the role of Judas has been a goal of mine since I first heard Andrew Lloyd Webber's ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ when I was a kid. Judas is exciting to play because of the complexity of his character, not to mention the incredible songs that I get to sing. Playing this role now takes on even more personal significance since the recent death of Carl Anderson, an actor I greatly admire, who played Judas in the film and on stage”

“Jesus Christ Superstar” will be presented at the Sorenson Center for the Arts at Babson College in Wellesley. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 8 -10, at 8pm, and Saturday, April 10, at 2pm.

Tickets are available online at www.jcsuperstar.com or by phone at 781-586-8817.
