“Mamma Mia!” Returns
June 22 - August 8

Benny Andersson and Bjoren Ulvaeus’ “Mamma Mia!,” based on the hit songs of ABBA, will return to Boston’s Colonial Theatre from June 22 to August 8.

Beginning Sunday, March 7, American Express Gold Card members may purchase their seats in a special early ticket offering. These tickets are available by calling 800-NOW-AMEX, visiting www.ticketmaster.com or in person at the Colonial box office. Tickets will go on general sale beginning on April 9.

Inspired by the story-telling magic of ABBA’s songs, writer Catherine Johnson’s tale of family and friendship unfolds on a tiny Greek island. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter yearns to discover the true identify of her father as 3 men from her mother’s past return to the island they visited 20 years before.

Songs include “Dancing Queen,” “The Winner Takes It All,” “Money, Money, Money” and “Take A Chance On Me,” among others.

There are currently 11 productions of “Mamma Mia!” running around the world (8 permanent productions and 3 tours). With a worldwide audience of more than 10 million theatre-goers, “Mamma Mia!” was acclaimed by the Associated Press as “quite simply, a phenomenon.”
