After four smash-hit engagements in Providence, Avner the Eccentric is back -- at Trinity Repertory Theatre -- from August 8 - 10.

In “Exceptions to Gravity,” Avner proves that he's one of the world's best thinking clowns, with clever, one-of-a-kind silent comedy, astounding juggling and balancing acts, plus audience participation. Designed for family attendance, this event is for audiences ages 2 and up .

Magician, juggler, clown and consummate entertainer, Avner the Eccentric has starred on Broadway and on film, but focuses most of his energies on presenting a celebrated one-man show incorporating all of his talents. With a wry and gentle stage presence, he pokes fun at the foibles we all recognize.

Variety has described the performer as "Avner the Clown, The Mime, The Juggler, The Magician or The Eclectic. Most of all he is Avner The Entertainer. His is a style that draws together the elements of commedia dell'arte, farce, Emmet Kelly clowning, Chaplanesque routines, mugging a la Harpo Marx, and an ability to interact with an audience born of years as a street performer."

Eisenberg defies the barriers of language and culture and has toured extensively all over the US and abroad. Often a featured performer at comedy, magic and theatre festivals, he recently won a special jury award at The International Festival du Cirque in Monte Carlo.
