Jackie Mason Brings "Politically Incorrect"
To Orpheum, May 1

Broadway and television veteran Jackie Mason is coming back to town to present the Boston debut of his stinging, long-running, one-man Broadway show "Politically Incorrect" on Saturday, May 1 at 8 p.m. at The Orpheum Theater.

Tagged by critics as the "Jewish Will Rogers" and an "equal opportunity offender," Mason attacks sacred cows, targeting men, women, blacks, whites, Hispanics, Jews, Asians, liberals, conservatives, Indian taxi drivers, Reagan, Bush, Kerry, Dean, and, "above all, the Clintons."

The Emmy award-winning entertainer is actually a champion of free speech.  Before the curtain falls on "Politically Incorrect," Mason sheds the comedy and delivers an impassioned defense of it.

Raised in a family that produced seven rabbis, Mason himself was ordained a rabbi at the age of 25. However, he traded the synagogue for the comedy spotlight after three years because, in his own words, “someone in the family had to make a living.”

Mason’s first Broadway show, “The World According To Me,” played to sell-out crowds for two years and earned him a special Tony Award for Outstanding Theatrical Achievement.

Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, at 617-931-2000 or by calling the box office at 617-679-0810.
