Big Apple Circus
Returns To Boston April 3 to May 9
In New Home at Bayside Expo

Presented in Association with The Children's Museum

Tickets Go On Sale February 15

From its new home at the Bayside Exposition Center in South Boston, The Big Apple Circus' all-new production, "Carnevale!,"  offers a one-word recipe for excitement.

Mix together masquerade balls, puppets, parades, confetti, floats, feathers and beads; then add a ragout of reggae, a cup of calypso, and a touch of soca, samba, jazz, zydeco, Afro-Cuban and classical music; season with the spirit of Venice, Rio de Janeiro, Trinidad, Cuba, New Orleans and Jamaica. Blend with world-class circus acts, pour into one ring, and the result is a show to remember.

Artistic director and producer Paul Binder and creative director Michael Christensen have assembled a host of international performers for their 26th annual season.

They include:

• From the U.S., the Big Apple Circus' very own Grandma (Barry Lubin), recent inductee into the International Clown Hall of Fame, and emcee extraordinaire Dinny McGuire.

• From Cuba, the incredible acrobatic trio of Los Aregos, international gymnastic medallists at the World Circus Festival competition in Brazil.

• From Russia, Andrey Markov pairs extraordinary juggling with a sensational dog act for a one-of-a-kind performance.

• From Ukraine, the world-renowned comic Vallery (Valeri Serebryakov), son of legendary clown Valeri Serebryakov, Sr.

• From Colombia and Latvia, the spectacular high wire trio The Carillos, winners of the Silver Clown award at the 2001 Festival du Cirque in Monte Carlo.

• From Belarus, the scintillating Alesya Goulevich and her swirling hula-hoop act.

• From Russia, the Aniskin Troupe returns with its breathtaking flying trapeze and mini-trampoline acts.

• From Denmark, the grace of Katja Schumann's magnificent, spirited Arabian horses.

• And rounding out the cast, the multi-talented Big Apple Circus Company, featuring Max Binder (USA), Regina Dobrovitskaya (Russia), Andrey Mantchev (Bulgaria), Virgile Peyramaure (France), Christian Atayde Stoinev (USA), Hans-Ludwig Suppmeier (Germany), Valdis Yanovskis (Russia), and Michelle Youens (USA) in astonishing displays of floor and equestrian acrobatics
