If you’ve ever longed to painted you head blue and stuff Twinkies in your face, now’s your chance.

Blue Man Group, one of Boston's most beloved and enduring entertainment experiences, is holding an open call for performers on Tuesday, October 7, from Noon to 5 p.m. at its home in the Charles Playhouse, 74 Warrenton Street in the Theatre District.

The open call is part of an intensive search for performers uniquely qualified to join the Blue Man Group experience. At last year's open call, Eric Rubbe, a Boston University graduate, showed up, had the right stuff and was subsequently invited to join the Boston company.

Blue Man Group began in New York and now has four productions running concurrently. In addition to Boston, Blue Man Group can be seen in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas. Blue Man Group is currently working on their fifth show, set to open in Berlin,Germany, in 2004. These and other exciting projects keep the Blue Man casting department on its toes.

Thus, Blue Man Group is looking for male and female performers for upcoming productions, as well as the current productions in Boston, Chicago, and Las Vegas.

Performers should fit the following requirements:

• Be between 5'10" and 6'1" tall (weight proportionate to height)
• Possess excellent drumming and acting skills
• Have the emotional range to communicate great joy, wonder and depth
• Have a willingness to relocate
