New Cirque du Soleil Production Coming To Boston

Tickets On Sale Now To Club Members Only

Cirque du Soleil has announced that its trademark blue-and-yellow Grand Chapiteau will return to Boston with “Varekai,” its latest live touring production. The production will premiere for a limited engagement on July 28, 2004, at Suffolk Downs.

The word Varekai means “wherever” in the Romany language of the gypsies, the universal wanderers. Directed by Dominic Champagne, this production pays tribute to the nomadic soul, to the spirit and art of the circus tradition and to those who quest with infinite passion along the path that leads to Varekai.

At the moment, prime seat locations are on sale exclusively to Cirque Club members. You may join the Cirque Club free of charge at cirquedusoleil.com.

The performance schedule is as follows: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8:00 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Sundays at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. There are no performances on Mondays. Additionally, there will be two performances on Thursday, August 19 at 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and no performance on Tuesday, August 17.
