Kaye Ballard, Georga Engel, Mimi Hines,
Darlene Love & Lee Merriwether
Star in “Nunsense”

The Little Sisters of Hoboken are taking their act on the road and bringing it to Boston in an all-star production of "Nunsense", the award winning hit musical comedy.

Celebrating twenty years of making the world laugh, "Nunsense 20th Anniversary All-Star Tour" features five of America's best-loved comediennes: comedic legends Kaye Ballard (TV's "The Mothers-In-Laws;" "The Full Monty") as Sister Mary Regina, Georgia Engel (direct from Broadway's "The Boys from Syracuse;" TV's "The Mary Tyler Moore Show") as Sister Mary Leo, Mimi Hines (Broadway leading lady in "Funny Girl;" TV's "Frasier") as Sister Mary Amnesia, Darlene Love (number one recording artist; Broadway's "Leader of the Pack") as Sister Mary Hubert and Lee Meriwether (former Miss America; TV's "Barnaby Jones") as Sister Robert Anne.

"Nunsense" will play Boston's Wilbur Theatre, Tuesday, February 10 through Sunday, February 15, 2004. The production was originally scheduled to play The Shubert Theatre, but was moved to The Wilbur Theatre to accommodate the pre-Broadway engagement of "Sly Fox" starring Richard Dreyfus.

"Nunsense" is presented by Wang Center Productions Inc. and is part of the Lexus Boston Area Dealers Broadway in Boston Series and The Wang Center for the Performing Arts' TIAA-CREF Performance Series.

The 20th Anniversary All-Star Tour features all of the songs and dances along with new show-stopping material and some nunly surprises.  Described by The New York Times as "Habit-forming," "Nunsense" follows the madcap adventures of the Little Sisters of Hoboken as they stage a benefit revue to raise money to bury a group of nuns accidentally poisoned by their own convent chef!

"Nunsense" won four Outer Critics Circle Awards including Best Off-Broadway Musical.  It also ranks as the second longest running musical in off-Broadway history, second only to "The Fantasticks."  "Nunsense", which has been performed across the globe in 26 languages and has grossed over $300 million worldwide, originally premiered at New York's Cherry Lane Theatre on December 12, 1985.

Tickets previously purchased for the Shubert Theatre engagement of "Nunsense" must be returned to The Shubert Theatre Box Office and will be reissued for The Wilbur Theatre.

Tickets  are available at The Wilbur and Colonial box offices, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or by calling Ticketmaster at 617-931-2787.
