"Dora The Explorer"
Comes to The Wang
In January 2004

“Dora The Explorer - Live - Search for the City of Lost Toys,” the first stage show starring a Latina heroine, visits The Wang Theatre for an exclusive one week engagement from January 28 - February 1.

Based on the popular preschool television show, “Dora The Explorer” stars seven year old Dora, whose adventures take place in an imaginative, tropical world filled with jungles, beaches and rain forests. Dora explores her world just as pre-schoolers do every day. Both the TV sand stage shows are designed to actively engage their audiences using a variety of learning techniques.

Dora and her best friend Boots invite the audience to join them in an exciting adventure,. Each step of their journey consists of a problem or puzzle that Dora and the audience must solve in order to move on to the next challenge.

Proudly bilingual, Dora uses her knowledge of English and Spanish to communicate with her friends, overcome obstacles and forge ahead.

Featuring familiar songs and all the characters children have come to love, “Dora The Explorer” showcased her friends, special helper Backpack, best friend Boots, Map, Swiper The Fox, Tico and Benny. The “Search for the City of Lost Toys” storyline is also the basis for an upcoming Nickelodeon primetime special scheduled to air Monday, February 24.

“Dora The Explorer” airs weekdays at 10 A.M. on Nick Jr. and Sundays on CBS.

For tickets and information, stop by The Wang box office at 270 Tremont Street, or call 800-447-7400.
