"Chicago" Returns . . .With All That Jazz

Gregory Harrison to Star

The razzle-dazzle murder musical "Chicago" returns to Boston, this time at the Wang Theatre, for a one week run, November 4 - 9. Winner of 6 Tony Awards, including Best Musical Revival, "Chicago" holds the distinction of being Broadway's longest running revival, still playing to packed houses in its 7th year. The immense success of the stage production spawned an Academy Award winning film version.

In the acclaimed Bob Fosse musical, the merry murderesses Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart compete, not just for headlines, but for one lasting moment in the spotlight, courtesy of slick lawyer Billy Flynn.

The Boston cast will include Gregory Harrison (left) as Flynn in addition to Carol Woods, Biana Marroquin and Brenda Braxton. Harrison is best known for his several seasons in the hit TV series "Trapper John, M.D." He has previously starred on stage in Kander and Ebb's "Steel Pier" and Stephen Sondheim's "Follies."

Carol Woods last visited Boston with the national tour of "The Full Monty," and has appeared in such productions as "Smokey Joe's Cafe," "Big River" and "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas."

Biana Marroquin starred as Roxie Hart in the successful Mexico City production of "Chicago" before joining the Broadway company. Brenda Brexton comes to the national tour directly from the Broadway production where she starred as Velma. She also received a Tony nomination for her work in "Smokey Joe's Cafe" on Broadway.

For ticket information, stop by the Wang box office or call 800-447-7400.
