"Mamma Mia!" Extended

Six Weeks Added To Run

Due to popular demand, "Mamma Mia!" has been extended through April 26. (Opening date is January 25, 2003.) The new block of tickets will go
on sale Sunday, December 8, at the Colonial Theater box office, or bycalling
Ticketmaster at 617-931-2787

Continuing to sell out on Broadway, in London, Toronto and on tour,
"Mamma Mia!" features 22 of ABBA's best known songs, including "Dancing
Queen," "The Winner Takes It All," "Super Trouper," "I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do" and "Take A Chance On Me."

By stringing its songs into a storyline created by Catherine Johnson,
the show focuses on Donna, a feisty, 40-something single Mom who recalls
distant memories of carefree days and careless nights.

Her daughter, meanwhile, dreams of romance and a big wedding -- except she doesn't really know who her father is. All comes together when everyone heads to a mythical Greek island.

"Mamma Mia!" broke box office records when it played to sold-out crowds
at the Colonial for twelve weeks in 2001.
