Tony Award-Winning Mandy Patinkin
Plays The Colonial for Four Performances

Broadway’s master songman, Mandy Patinkin, will bring his critically acclaimed theater concert to The Colonial Theatre for four performances only, October 30 - November 3.

Having received a Tony in 1980 for his portrayal of Che in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Evita,” Patinkin was nominated again for his 1984 starring role in Stephen Sondheim’s “Sunday In The Park With George.” He returned to Broadway in the Tony Award-winning “The Secret Garden” and appeared as Marvin in “Falsettos.” His other stage credits include “The Wild Party,” “The Winter’s Tale,” “Rebel Women,” “Hamlet,” “The Shadow Box” and “Henry IV, Part 1.”

In 1995, Patinkin added an Emmy to his shelf for his role as Dr. Jeffrey Geiger on the CBS series, “Chicago Hope.” Among his film credits are roles in “The Princess Bridge,” “Yentl,” “Pinero,” “Ragtime,” “Dick Tracy,” “True Colors,’ “Maxie,” “Men With Guns” and “The House on Carroll Street.”

As busy a recording artist as he is an actor, Patinkin has released the following CDs: “Mandy Patinkin,” “Mamaloshen,” “Mandy Patinkin in Concert,” “Dress Casual,” “Experiment,” “Oscar and Steve,” “Leonard Bernstein’s New York” and “Mandy Patinkin: Kidults.” Nonesuch Records is releasing his latest recording, “Mandy Patinkin Sings Sondheim,” this month.

Patinkin will be accompanied by renowned pianist Paul Ford. Ford was the original pianist for the Broadway orchestras of Sondheim’s “Passion,” “Into The Woods,” “Sunday In The Park With George,” and the off Broadway production of “Assassins.” His other Broadway credits include “Tom Sawyer,” “The Rink,” “Steel Pier,” “The Secret Garden,” “Falsettos,” “High Society” and “Rags.” Ford has worked with Patinkin on all his recordings and tours.
